Job Description

Full-time opportunity is for a candidate looking to continue advancing their career in a public accounting firm.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and/or review complex income tax, estate tax, and informational returns.
  • Assume full responsibility for accounting engagements for preparation of tax returns.
  • Tax forecasting.
  • Tax research.
  • Recognize client problems and develop solutions.
  • Recognize possible problem areas of an engagement, and assist in developing solutions.
  • Train, supervise, and evaluate, staff members assigned to engagements.
  • Understanding of the Firm’s practices, policies, procedures, and culture.

Requirements and Skills

  • Certified Public Accountant, or Enrolled Agent with public accounting experience.
  • 5+ years experience preparing and/or reviewing complex corporation, partnership, not for profit, fiduciary and individual tax returns.
  • Ability to develop and maintain clients.
  • High level of intelligence, integrity, honesty, motivation, and aptitude for the profession.
  • Must maintain strict client confidentiality.
  • Software: QuickBooks desktop, QuickBooks Online, Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat Professional, CCH ProSystem fx Tax software, CCH AnswerConnect tax research and RIA Checkpoint tax research platforms.

Job Type

Full-time

Salary: $55,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year.*
*The range for this role takes into consideration some factors that impact compensations decisions.  This include, but are not limited to, specific skills, experience, licensure, and other business and organizational needs.  It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role as compensation decisions are dependent on specific facts and circumstances of each case.

Senior Audit Specialist

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Assume responsibility, under supervision, for small and medium-sized audit engagements, including the development of work programs.
  • Have a working knowledge of the various professional standards of the AICPA and FASB.
  • Prepare audit programs and time budgets.
  • Assume full responsibility for compilation and review engagements.
  • Recognize possible problem areas of an assurance engagement and assist in developing solutions.
  • Train and supervise staff members assigned to an engagement.
  • Understanding of the Firm’s practices, policies, procedures, and culture.

Requirements and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 2+ years (Preferred) experience at a public accounting firm performing audits, reviews, and compilations.

Senior Small Business Specialist – Accountant

Job description

Full time opportunity for candidates looking to advance their career in public accounting.

Responsibilities

  • Assume responsibility, under supervision, for small accounting engagements involving maintenance of a client’s accounting system.
  • Prepare financial statements on various basis of accounting (including income tax basis).
  • Prepare payroll checks and necessary payroll tax reports.
  • Work with third party vendors to complete work on a timely basis and review for obvious errors.
  • Understanding of the Firm’s practices, policies, procedures, and culture.
  • Have a working knowledge of local tax laws, payroll laws, and state sales tax laws.

Requirements and Skills

  • 2+ years (Preferred) experience at a public accounting firm performing preparation of financial statements on various basis of accounting.
  • Ability to maintain a manual and computerized bookkeeping system.
  • Ability to maintain an accounts receivable and accounts payable subsidiary ledger system.
  • General computer operations – QuickBooks, data input, and processing.
  • Must maintain strict client confidentiality.
  • High level of intelligence, integrity, honesty, motivation, and aptitude for the profession.
